It’s home to the town hall, a library, a hospital for Hannover county, it has a grammar school, secondary school/Gymnasium, and special needs school, as well as a builder’s yard, St. Peter’s church, and a large public open air swimming pool. The autobahn A7 runs by it, as do the railway lines Hannover-Celle and Uelzen-Hamburg. The German drugstore chain ROSSMANN has its HQ there, and there has been an IKEA store since the 70’s.
